VLAN Support
AnsweredI would like to have VLAN support on B400S.
I have four conference rooms, assign one input to each room. If I have four different VLAN assign to each room, then I can only access to the Input which have same vlan as the rooms VLAN/SSID.
Perfect with one box that support both Guest and Private SSID/VLAN. With this you do not need to route between vlans etc.

Hi, Sorry for the late replay :) Well, it's not what I was looking for.
IF I have 10 different rooms, with 10 different SSID/VLAN. I Would like to assign one player to each VLAN so people that are using SSID Y can only access one player. (Yes, you can do this if you buy 10 singel players, but now I want to use 3 x B400S units instead).
Do you understand what i'm looking for?//Stefan

Hi Stefan
You can't get there from here.
The B400s may have 4 rooms but uses a single IP address so all 4 rooms will have to be on the same segment.
You would have to use 10 individual B100S players with Authorization enabled on each unit (each having a unique password). Then they would use the same VLAN, each user could see the players but not be able to control them (“Connect” music services not included).

Hi Tony,
Yes, I'm aware of that. But maybe in the future :)
Add possible to have multiple ip adresses and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.1Q - put it on "nice to have list".
I have another question. When Spotify Business disappear a few years ago - they moved over to Soundtrack Your Brand. Do you have any plans to include that service in BlueOS?0 -
STYB is definitely on our to do list. We are constantly adding music services and are proud to already support, Soundmachine, Custom Channels, Sirius for Business and Tunify, all commercial music services.
