Problem when activating the HDMI input with autosense on a BlueSound HUB and using it in a zone.
AnsweredProblem activating the HDMI input with autosensing on a BlueSound HUB and using it in a zone.
Hello everyone.
First of all, I'm a regular installer of BlueSound systems and I regularly do custom installations. What I mean is, I'm very familiar with the product setup, and I know its features and operation well.
I have a problem I can't solve, and I'd like to know where the problem might be.
In a client's home, I have an LG TV with a BlueSound HUB connected via an HDMI 2.1 cable to the HUB's HDMI port (configured as PCM with HDMI eARC output).
At the same time, we have a Monitor Audio IMS-4 with its corresponding four zones, one of which is the living room (where the aforementioned LG TV is located).
The problem I'm having is that when I select the LIVING ROOM zone and go to the available input settings, the HDMI input for the HUB doesn't appear. Therefore, I can't activate AUTOSENSE mode so that when I turn on the TV, the HUB sends the command to start playing TV audio in the LIVING ROOM zone.
All the devices are connected with certified CAT7 Ethernet cables.
I don't know why this is happening, as I've used this same configuration in other installations without this issue (except that instead of using an IMS-4, it was with the BlueSound B400S).
I don't know if this problem could be related to some configuration on the switch (in the LAN) that might have some kind of encapsulation preventing them from communicating properly, which would explain why this function isn't appearing. If anyone has any ideas about what might be happening, I would greatly appreciate it.
Kind regards.
