Use Speakers for overhead Paging from VOIP Phone

With a SIP VOIP paging amplifier (Such as Cyberdata 011324A) and a Bluesound HUB, there should be the ability to prioritize and duck in/out audio.

We use Soundmachine to source background audio for a small shop. We purchased a HUB with the hope we could use the BCS300 speakers to page. While the setup CAN work, it requires us to manually change the source from the current source to the HUB, then back, which is too cumbersome. Not everyone has access to the BluOS Controller. Currently we still have to have a loudspeaker with the 011324A to page employees. We want the ability to:

1)Prioritize HUB audio.

2) Detect incoming audio from one of the HUB inputs.

3) Duck out the current audio source

4)Duck in HUB audio during detected input.

5)Bring back the original audio source once no input is detected on HUB. 

As a bonus, this could be true for other audio sources outside of the HUB. For example: While using SoundMachine as our main audio source, we would like to periodically sound a prerecorded reminder to "fill out your timesheets". Scheduling is another conversation, but the ability to duck in a "library" audio source, then go back to the original SoundMachine schedule would be huge. 

At very least, be able to play multiple sources at once. Even if we couldn't duck in/out different sources, let me play the HUB (SIP VOIP) audio on top SoundMachine.

  Ryan, thanks for you detailed input. We are working on several solutions that we are expecting to market later this year. I see that you mention SoundMachine, they do allow announcements to be placed at intervals during your day. As far as ducking goes, our solutions will address that. Again we appreciate the input, paging with ducking are definitely on our roadmap.
