How to pair non-bluesound remote with B100S?

Hi,

I bought a node 2i several years ago and just received a B100S today. Although the UI seems to suggest that a bluesound IR remote is supported for the B100S, I understand that I need an outboard IR receiver of some kind for this to work?

I don't have a bluesound remote, but I do have several IR remotes including Apple, which I'd like to use.  Would somebody please suggest a few IR receiver choices suitable for home hifi use? I bought the B100S due to the form factor, metal case, and lack of wifi rather than for installation use.
